Root canal therapy is a common dental procedure that we perform at our practice. A root canal therapy involves removing the damaged or infected dental pulp inside of the tooth and cleaning the inner pulp chamber. A damaged dental pulp can cause your tooth to die so may have to be removed to preserve the well-being of your tooth. Once the dental pulp is removed, the inner dental pulp chamber is refilled with a special dental substance and a dental restoration, such as a crown, inlay or onlay, is placed on top of the tooth to protect it from further damage.
All of our root canals are performed with an anesthetic so you can rest assured that you will remain completely comfortable during your procedure. In fact, many of our patients are surprised at how little discomfort they felt during their root canal.
